Ale, Eats and Entertainment: At Brookfield Place

It's a 4-minute walk to Brookfield Place - and to exciting eats, ale, and entertainment!

Thursdays, Brookfield Place's Winter Garden transforms into a Biergarden - and you get to decide which brew (and borough) wins best brew! For "5 Borough Challenge: Best Brews of NYC", each week, different beers, each from a different borough brewery, are on tap for your tasting pleasure. Full schedule on Brookfield's site.

And when you drink, you donate! 100% of all beer sales will be donated to New Yorkers for Parks' mission to build, protect, and promote parks and open spaces throughout New York City.

Saturdays, children's entertainment awaits - at the Saturday Morning Show! Music, magic, multi-lingual songs and much more!

And every day, you can partake in the innovative cuisine at Hudson Eats - including a souffle at Le District - one which the LA Times raves about:

"...the goat cheese soufflé eats like an airy cake with a pistachio crust. It is baked in a mold and then inverted on to a plate with shaved Asian pear, spears of endive, dried cranberries, chiffonade of sage, and finished with a drizzle of cranberry oil and balsamic reduction."

The restaurant offers many cheesy-delights - such as cheese platters, grilled cheese sandwiches, and the perfect comfort-food: French Onion Soup.

Has it ever occurred to you to have a french dinner in an igloo? It will now!

As the NY Daily News describes, Le District also has igloos you can dine in, until April:

"Once you book one, you can order fare from Le District’s market and enjoy it inside. Cocktails include the Pomme au Noyer ($12, a hot toddy made with apple cider, Jameson, Calvados, walnut, orange and cloves). A Vixen Pear Cider ($9) is among the beer selections. Food options range from Signature Fries ($10.95 and served in a bowl with truffle, poutine, raclette and bourguignon) to various sizes of cheese and charcuterie plates, along with oyster and clam options. The igloos are outfitted with cocktail tables, heaters, and comfy seating and hold up to 10 people each."
