Community Connection – with BPCPC Events

One of the unique and appealing aspects of Battery Park City is its focus on community.  The area is peaceful - but far from dull.

In particular, Battery Park City Parks has a bunch of recurring events.

Catering to a variety of interests - and all ages - BPCP has something for everyone.

For your inner (or outer) artist, they have opportunities like Elements of Nature and Figure Al Fresco where you can draw either the beautiful sights in Wagner Park or a model striking a pose. Drawing materials are supplied - and an artist/educator is there to offer suggestions and provide critiques.

For kids, there's Wednesdays in Teardrop Park with "energetic lawn games, and art projects, such as clay, collage, painting and group murals" and Art & Games which has creative art projects - as well as physical activities like tag and tug-o-war. There's also the lawn-based "Preschool Play" providing play - plus singing and stories.

And if you love singing, there's Sunset Singing Circle and an Adult Chorus.

For the age group in between, Teen Nights allow adolescents to meet new friends while they play foosball, life-size chess, table tennis - and trivia and karaoke.

Being social is essential for well being and so is experiencing nature. BPCP allows you to do both simultaneously!
