Light Up: With Luminaries!

Tuesday, November 27th signals the start of the holiday season at Brookfield Place with "Light Up Luminaries".

"Free ice skating on the waterfront, sweet treats, and performances by the Original Dickens Carolers and Joe McGinty and The Loser's Lounge!"

And then, from November 28th through to January 4th, 2019, you can experience the annual tradition of those bright and beautiful lanterns: "Luminaries".

Inspired by the season’s traditions of sharing, giving, and community, this interactive light installation, created by the LAB at Rockwell Group, involves a suspended canopy of glowing lanterns that change in color and intensity within the Winter Garden.

Visitors can watch the light shows - and send wishes to the canopy above from the glowing wishing stations.

For every wish sent during the holiday season, Brookfield will donate $1 to Little Essentials, a New York City non-profit that improves the health, safety, and well-being of children living in poverty by providing urgently needed resources and parenting education to families in crisis.
