Food for Thought – and Balance – at the Kids Food Festival

This weekend (August 26th & 27th) it's the Kids Food Festival, which focuses on "educating families about making balanced food choices through fun and flavorful activities"!

General admission to this 2-day event, which features free performances such as cooking demos and live entertainment, as well as a "Balanced Plate" scavenger hunt, is free.

There's also an option of purchasing tickets ($25) for hands-on cooking classes with featured chefs - and these tickets for the tykes include admission for one child and two adult companions.

The goal of the event is intended to battle childhood obesity.  The organizers hope that in giving kids the opportunity to learn about food in a fun and engaging way, they will be more informed and empowered to make positive food choices.

So head over to The Oculus at Westfield World Trade Center for  "a weekend full of flavorful fun!"
